Highlight PDF | Marker Ink That Never Leaves Your Device
A paper highlighter works because the ink is transparent: the colour sits over the page but the words still read through. PdfPixel does the same thing digitally, except the colour box is written behind the text layer of your PDF, at whatever opacity you pick, so the sentence stays crisp and selectable.
Drag across a line and every word the drag touches gets its own box, exactly like drawing along a sentence with a real marker. Tap a highlight and it lifts off again. Six inks are ready (yellow, green, pink, blue, orange and a custom picker), the opacity slider runs from a whisper at 25% to a firm 75%, and Add text mode clicks a typed note onto the page in the same ink.
Behind the text, not over it
Each highlight is inserted into the page content stream before the original drawing operators, with a transparency ExtGState | words render on top of the colour, never buried under it.
Vector in, vector out
Nothing is rasterised by default | text stays selectable, searchable and tiny. Flip on Flatten only when a downstream system demands a plain image page.
Word-accurate drags
The drag is matched against the real text geometry of the page, so a sloppy swipe still produces clean per-word boxes instead of one ragged rectangle.

Yes. Stay in Highlight mode and tap (click without dragging) any highlighted area to lift it off before you download. Clear removes every mark on every page.
What does the Flatten checkbox do?
Flatten renders each page to an image at 150 DPI with the marks burned in, for systems that struggle with content-stream edits. Leave it off for a smaller, fully vector result.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
