Sign a PDF Online: Draw or Type a Signature, No Upload (Free)
A signature field should not force you to email a contract to a stranger. Drawing or typing your signature in your own browser keeps the document yours end to end.
Placement, size and page choice are yours too: the signature lands where the field is, not where a template guesses.
Three ways to make the mark
Draw with mouse or finger on a pad, type your name into a signature style, or add a scanned signature image. All three become a stamp you place on the page.
Once created, the signature can be reused on further pages of the same document in one session.
Step by step
- Add the PDF and open the page with the signature block.
Create the signature: draw, type or image.
Place and scale it over the field; nudge until it sits inside the lines.
Save; the signed PDF downloads locally.
What a browser signature is (and is not)
This is a visual signature: legally accepted for most agreements, rentals, HR forms and school submissions, exactly like a scanned wet signature. It is not a certificate-based digital signature with cryptographic identity.
When a counterparty demands a certificate (some government tenders do), they will say so explicitly; everything else accepts a placed signature.
Placement habits that look professional
- Keep the mark inside the field box, slightly overlapping the line is fine.
Match ink colour to context: blue or black for formal documents.
Sign every page only when the document asks for it.
Save the signed copy under a new filename to keep the blank master.
