Frame and invitation print
Resize a Photo to 5 × 7 Inch (1500 × 2100 px)
The 5 × 7 frame is the sweet spot for desk photos and printed invitations | at 300 DPI it wants exactly 1500 × 2100 pixels.
Open the MM resizerType 127 × 177.8 mm at 300 DPI | the spec line confirms 1500 × 2100 px.
Like its smaller cousins, 5 × 7 is a 5:7 ratio, close to but not the same as A5 or 4:3 phone photos. Let a print service auto-crop and heads or headlines can lose the top of the frame.
The millimetre resizer crops to the exact 5:7 window with focus sliders, scales to 1500 × 2100 px and stamps true 300 DPI metadata, so the print measures five by seven inches on the ruler and looks sharp at arm's length.
Invitation designers: if your artwork already includes bleed, add 3 mm per side in the custom fields (133 × 183.8 mm) and printers will thank you.
What is 5 × 7 inch in pixels?
1500 × 2100 at 300 DPI, or 1000 × 1400 at 200 DPI if the lab accepts a lighter file.
Is 5 × 7 the same as A5?
No | A5 is 148 × 210 mm (about 5.8 × 8.3 inch). 5 × 7 is 127 × 178 mm. The resizer handles both in custom mode.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Every pixel is processed by JavaScript inside your own browser tab | nothing is sent to a server, stored or logged, which matters when the file is an ID photo or signature.
