Rearrange PDF Pages: Drag, Drop, Done (Free, In-Browser)
Scanners feed pages in the order physics decides: duplex flips, fed-in backwards, chapter last. The document arrives correct in content and wrong in order.
A thumbnail grid you can drag is the fastest fix, and doing it locally means the unsorted draft never leaves your machine.
One pass, three fixes
The organize workspace shows every page as a draggable thumbnail with its own rotate and delete controls. Reorder by dragging, fix orientation per page, drop the blank feed sheet at the end, all before a single save.
Because it is one pass, you never juggle three tools and three intermediate files.
Step by step
- Add the PDF; the grid renders all pages locally.
Drag pages into reading order; positions update live.
Rotate sideways pages and delete blanks or duplicates.
Save; the reordered PDF downloads from your browser.
Duplex and book-scan patterns
Backwards duplex produces the classic 2,1,4,3 zigzag: drag pairs, or re-scan if the pattern spans hundreds of pages. Book scans add blank versos: delete them in the same pass.
Chapter-last feeds happen when the feeder wins: check the final order against the contents page before saving.
Order checks that catch mistakes
- First and last page of each chapter where the contents says.
No blank versos left in digital-only documents.
Page count after deletes matches expectation.
One saved copy, renamed with a version date.
