Marriage Biodata Templates: Choose, Fill and Print in Minutes
A marriage biodata is still the first document two families exchange in most arranged-marriage conversations across India. It carries a photograph, a birth detail, a horoscope, a family summary and a contact number, on a single page that gets printed, photocopied and forwarded in WhatsApp groups.
That last part is why we built our matrimonial bio data maker entirely in the browser. A document containing a phone number, a caste and a date of birth should never sit on a stranger's server. Everything below happens on your device: you fill one form, preview 21 template designs live, and download a print-ready A4 PDF or a WhatsApp-friendly image.
What a marriage biodata contains
Every biodata that actually circulates among families has the same five blocks, in roughly this order:
- Personal details: full name, date of birth, time and place of birth, height, complexion, religion, caste (optional), education, occupation and annual income.
- Horoscope: rashi, nakshatra, gotra and manglik status. Families that match kundalis look for these four first, so they get their own labelled section instead of being buried in a generic form.
- Family details: father's and mother's names with occupations, siblings, and the family address.
- Contact details: one phone number, one email, and the name of the person relatives should call.
- Partner preference: two or three honest lines about what the family is looking for.
Our form ships with all of these as labelled fields, with sensible selects for height (4' 10" to 6' 2"), complexion, rashi (all twelve), nakshatra (all twenty-seven) and manglik status, so nothing important gets forgotten. Any field you leave empty is simply omitted from the printed page.
The 21 templates, in three families
Template choice is mostly about the audience. A biodata that goes to a traditional household reads better with a ceremonial frame; one that goes to a working professional in another city often reads better clean and modern.
- Traditional and ceremonial: Chandan (sandalwood cream with an om-scroll motif), Sindoor (deep red wedding-card border), Toran (mandap arch with a hanging garland) and Zari (gold lace on ivory).
- Modern and minimal: Moti (pearl-dot border), Ivory (clean rules, no frame) and Slate (a thin dark frame with quiet typography).
- Floral and artistic: Gulaab (soft rose corners), Aparajita (blue watercolour wash) and Raat Rani (midnight navy with gold stars).
- Signature designs: Marigold, Mayur, Kesar, Bandhani, Mogra, Kumkum, Paisley, Neelam, Aangan, Filigree and Mandap, for families who want something distinctive.
Because the form is filled once and every template previews live, switching from Sindoor to Ivory takes one click and zero re-typing. The community preset (Hindu, Muslim or none) adjusts the field set and switches off religious motifs where they do not belong.
Getting the photograph right
Use a portrait photo with soft, even light on the face, shoulders square to the camera. The builder accepts JPG or PNG up to 3 MB and automatically centre-crops it to the 3:4 portrait ratio every template expects, so a casual phone photo still sits correctly in the frame. Avoid heavy filters: relatives print these pages, and filters turn to mud on paper.
Flexibility: add, rename and reorder fields
Real biodata needs real exceptions. Some families want an assets line, a visa status, a diet preference or a note about a family business. Every section has an Add field button: type a label and a value, and the row appears in that section on the document. Labels can be renamed inline, rows can be dragged into a different order, and anything unwanted can be removed. Reset form returns the sample layout in one click.
Printing and sharing
The download is a true vector A4 PDF: borders, garlands and corner motifs are drawn as vectors at exact page margins, so a print shop gets crisp lines and a home printer centres the page without cropping surprises. For WhatsApp, export any page as JPG or PNG at three times resolution; images preview instantly in chat while the PDF stays better for email and print. Need the photo separately for a portal? The same photo workflow pairs well with our passport photo maker.
Why client-side matters for a biodata
A biodata is a small dossier: birth details, caste, income, a home address and a phone number, together in one file. Uploaded to a conventional web tool, that dossier passes through a network and rests on a server whose retention policy you cannot read. In our builder there is no upload step at all: the document is assembled and downloaded inside your browser tab, with no account, no watermark and no paywall. If you are comparing tools, this is the ten-second check: open the network panel and watch whether your file leaves the device. (We wrote about this in more depth in is it safe to upload PDFs to online tools.)
Ready when you are: open the matrimonial bio data maker, pick a template family, and preview your page in under a minute. For a plain, non-matrimonial version use the bio data maker, and for job applications the resume maker or CV maker.
