SSC / UPSC signature spec
Signature Photo 6 × 2 CM (709 × 236 px)
After the face photo, the signature is where forms bounce most: SSC wants 6 × 2 cm, 709 × 236 px, between 10 and 20 KB, in JPEG.
Open SSC Photo ResizerSwitch to the Signature tab | 6 × 2 cm at 300 DPI with the 10-20 KB window pre-set.
Sign on blank white paper with a dark pen, photograph it straight-on in even light, and you have a source the resizer can work with. The Signature tab crops to the wide 3:1 aspect, keeps your strokes centred with focus sliders, and lands the file inside the KB window automatically.
The output carries real 300 DPI metadata, so if the form asks for a physical 6 × 2 cm print later, the same file measures right on paper.
No scanned signature handy? The Signature Maker lets you draw or type one and download a clean transparent PNG | convert it to JPEG and resize in the same sitting.
What is 6 × 2 cm in pixels?
At 300 DPI it is 709 × 236 px. SSC additionally clamps the file to 10-20 KB | the resizer enforces both together.
My signature image has a grey background | will it pass?
Crop tight and convert to JPEG at high quality | for stubborn shadows run Background Remover first so the strokes sit on clean white.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Every pixel is processed by JavaScript inside your own browser tab | nothing is sent to a server, stored or logged, which matters when the file is an ID photo or signature.
How to make a 6 × 2 cm signature
- Open SSC Photo Resizer and switch to the Signature tab.
- Add your signature photo | the 709 × 236 crop appears live.
- Centre the strokes with the focus sliders.
- Resize and download | the card confirms pixels and KB before you upload.
