Metric signature spec
Signature Photo 50 × 20 MM (591 × 236 px)
Some portals and print forms specify signatures in millimetres: 50 × 20 mm, which at 300 DPI is exactly 591 × 236 pixels.
Open Resize SignaturePrefer mm maths with DPI stamping? Resize Image in MM does 50 × 20 mm at any DPI with focus crop.
The 5:2 aspect is wider than it looks | full-name signatures fit naturally, while short initials need generous margins so the crop does not clip strokes.
Resize Signature handles the crop-to-aspect and pixel scaling in one pass; for DPI-stamped metric output (50 × 20 mm readable on paper), the MM resizer writes genuine 300 DPI metadata into the JPEG or PNG.
Both tools keep everything on-device | a signature is as personal as a fingerprint and never leaves your browser tab.
What is 50 × 20 mm in pixels?
591 × 236 px at 300 DPI, 295 × 118 px at 150 DPI. Form portals asking for mm sizes almost always mean 300 DPI.
6 × 2 cm or 50 × 20 mm | which one does my form want?
Follow the notification exactly | SSC says 6 × 2 cm (709 × 236 px), many state forms say 50 × 20 mm (591 × 236 px). The two are close but not interchangeable.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Every pixel is processed by JavaScript inside your own browser tab | nothing is sent to a server, stored or logged, which matters when the file is an ID photo or signature.
